Remarkable strokeplay by sachin takes India inches away from a bredthtaking victory against Australia
Sanjiv Reddy
Nov. 5, 2009

It was a breathtaking 175 of Sachin Tenulkar to take India to very nearly a sensational win in a nerve-wrecking fifth one-day cricket spur against Australia.

Chasing Australia's mammmoth 350 for four, built mainly around Shaun Marsh’s 112 and Shane Watson’s 93, the Indian team lead by Dhoni capitalized on Tendulkar’s heroic 141 ball knock to come within a hairline distance of a remarkable win but the tailenders faltered under pressure to be all out for 347 with two balls to spare. Australia did win. India fought like a tiger in the open jungle.
