Uttar Pradesh Chief Minsiter is being sued by Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh in a defamation case. Mr. Singh has denied accusations of involvement in a Rs 500-crore money laundering scam. Uttar Presdesh Government has transferred the case to kolkata Police for further investigation. “Preliminary investigation has revealed that majority of the companies mentioned in the FIR were registered in Kolkata. Therefore, it has been decided to transfer the case to Kolkata police for further investigation. DIG Kanpur is taking necessary steps for transferring the case to Kolkata police. A formal request has also been made with Kolkata’s Commissioner of Police in this regard. During preliminary inquiry, the station house office examined the records and found that majority of the companies named in the FIR were registered in Kolkata. Therefore, it was decided that it would be appropriate if the case is investigated by the Kolkata police,” Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh says to media reporters.

Is Kolkata Police eqipped to handle the case? Kolkata Police is heavily influenced by the Marxists in West Bengal. Did Mayawati reach a secret agreement with the Maxists in West Bengal for a drastic prosecution of Amar Singh and Amitabh Bacchan?

Amar Singh was instrumental in helping Prime Minsiter Manmohan Singh in getting the necessary Parliament votes to seal the India-US nuclear deal that the Marxists opposed vehemently. At the end it was alleged by the BJP and the marxists that certain BJP and other MPs were bought for RS. 25 crores each.

Samajwadi Party led by Amar Singh in spite of internal resistance within his own party sided with the Congress Government to help PM Manmohan Singh clinch the necessary votes to get the Parliamenatry approval of the India-US nuclear deal.

There were allegation of CIA money floating in India to but the BJP MPs to teach a lesson to the Marxists that were vehemently opposing the India-US nuclear deal.

Marxists denied Manmohan Singh the necessary votes. But Amar Singh led the sudden surprise by declaring he and his party will replace the Marxists so that the Congress party led alliance win the Parliamentary votes.

Allegations were made that Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh received a lot of money from America, Congress party and other sources to clinch the deal for India-US nuke cooperation. Bush Adminsitartion was eager to get the deal done.

Marxists were insulted badly. BJP was snubbed at the indiscipline of their own MPs of were caught red handed compromising with the Congress Party for voting for the nuke deal.

It may be that Mayawati is going after Amar Singh in awitch hunt. It can also be that Amar Singh’s hundreds of crores (from the nuke deal fasco) is now getting exposed. Mayawati may have delivered the biggest blow to Amar Singh by striking a deal with the Marxists in finding money trail of Amar Singh’s crores.
