The shameless tried to sabotage the Healthcare reform. Bigger question is – when will Obama learn to get rid of special interest in the skin of innocent sheep?
The 28-page report filled with false scare and total misinformation marked the abrupt end to the unholy alliance between President Obama and America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). The sabeture like behavior of AHIP was predicted by many. After all these are the health insurance company that are creating health care mess in America. This industry lobby group, which has spent about $100m on advertising to support the reforms, and all along planned to sabbotage the health care reform just before the vote.
The report estimates that health insurance premiums for the average household would rise to $17,200 a year by 2013 under the proposals compared with $15,500 without the reforms. Average annual premium currently is $12,300. The basis on which AHIP spread the misinformation is questionable at the least, most likely outright bogus.
Linda Douglass, White House spokeswoman on healthcare made it clear the administration now considers AHIP as an outright saboteur: “On the eve a vote the health insurance industry comes out against a plan which would reduce their profits,” she explained.
