Pakistani commndoes go after Talibans gunmen who attacked the tightly guarded army headquarters in the city of Rawalpindi

At least four soldiers were killed in the assault by suspected militants dressed as soldiers.The attack came as the army prepares for a major offensive against Pakistani Taliban militants.

"The situation is under control ... all the gunmen have been killed", army spokesman Major-General Athar Abbas told Geo Television.

"I can''t give you the exact casualties inflicted on our guards but four of them at the first checkpost were martyred," the spokesman, Major-General Athar Abbas, later told Dunya Television.
