India's defence minister A K Antony on Thursday said that the country, though a late starter, is strengthening its capabilities as an effective deterrent against China.

He says while trying to resolve border dispute amicably, India's military will be superior to that of Chinese. The 1962 will never happen again. If there is a war, China will learn not to mess around with a nation filled with software engineers. Modern warfare is software driven. Numerical or harware superiority cannot win a war these days.

Expressing concern over India's new nuclear-powered submarine, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that New Delhi should observe nuclear restraint to maintain stability in South Asia.

India does not consider Pakistan as a threat. India's main concern is China. China uses Pakistan as a satelite nation to disturb India.
