Trinamool Congress ready to press charges again human rights abuse and atrocities against India’s poorest Tribal people by the Indian security forces and Marxist cops
Enough is enough, says Trinamool Congress and its leader, India’s newly elected Railway Minister Mamata Bannerjee. ''People of Lalgarh are not getting food, water, power and clothes. Police and members of the ruling CPI-M (Communist Party of India-Marxist) are torturing the innocent people in the name of flushing out the Maoists,'' claims Trinamool Congress and its leadership.
Raising slogans against the state's Left Front government, members of the party and its alliance partner Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) walked out of the house.
The Congress party leader Manas Bhuniya has slammed the state government for ''committing atrocities'' on tribals in the troubled zone of West Midnapore district. But the party and its leadership supplied the Maxists Indian paramilitary force to enhance the atrocities.
The West Bengal government under the Maxist rule has launched a massive security operation to flush out Maoist guerrillas from Lalgarh, 220 km west of Kolkata, after the rebellious extreme Maoists (Naxals) made the area a virtual ''free zone from Government atrocities'' by torching police camps and offices of the CPI-M.
After 15 days of the operation, the Indian security forces, that comprised of central paramilitary forces and state Marxist controlled policemen, have reclaimed almost the entire stretch that was held by the rebels. However, they could not find the youth of the Tribal people who are planning to wage a “Iraqi Sunni” style hit and run resistance.
