Manmohan Singh finally confronts Pakistan on the issue of terrorism – Pak throws words back – what’s next?
Trisha Zaveri
Jun. 17, 2009

Indian PM finally confronted Pakistan on the core issue – Pakistani terrorism against India. Pakistan retaliated in words and gesture. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's blunt message to President Asif Ali Zardari in front of media that Pakistan should not allow its soil for terrorism against India shook Islamabad up today and Pakistani officials said his remarks were "unacceptable".

During Tuesday's meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Russia, Dr. Singh told Mr. Zardari: "I am extremely happy to meet you, but my mandate is limited to telling you that the territory of Pakistan must not be allowed to be used for terrorism against India."

What is next? Pakistan got the message. The honeymoon of Musharraf’s making monkey of America is over. Days have come when Pakistani hooliganism will be confronted in the public and in front of world media no matter how embarrassing it is too the Pakistani politicians.
