''Buy America'' provision intact although America promises not to violate existing trade agreements – why is Obama afraid to defend American interests?
It is high time President Obama starts looking at the interest of America and American unemployed and underemployed population than servicing the interest of China, India, Japan, and others?
US President Barack Obama came out against the protectionist measure contained in the spending bill. He is spending close to one trillion US dollar from US taxpayers. But he is not willing to help create jobs in America. Strange! The same people that put Bush as a puppet for eight years control Obama.
Why is Obama afraid to protect American jobs and living standards? Who cares about those bogus trade agreements made for the rich oligarchs of America?
The so-called ''Buy America'' provisions in the Senate bill stated that none of the funds may be used for a project ‘unless all of the iron, steel and manufactured goods used in the project are produced in the US’.
However, the amendment following Obama's statement against approving anything that violates America's international agreements is an indication that the provisions will be watered down before being turned into an Act.
Wake up Obama. You are the President of United States, not China or Japan or India.
