Just like Diabetes, Terror cannot be fought – it can only be managed through shrewdness – India making the same old mistake like the West
Terror resembles the chronic disease Diabetes. Diabetes stays under control if you have the time and determination to monitor and control it. It strikes your organs hard when you are busy or callous otherwise. The terrorists follow the same pattern. They strike when you give them a chance.
Seeking united, determined and decisive action against international terrorism, India on Thursday asserted that no cause or religion justifies the same whatever be the objective. India wants united action against global terror. But what India does not understand is that like Diabetes, terrorism can never be eliminated, it can only be managed. Diabetic patients know that they can only control the curse of their pancreatic deficiency through diet, exercise and medication.
Israel is the only country that has managed terror. They manage it by using United States as a tool. They have been able to transfer the focus to US from them. Israel’s enemies find US as the real target. You cannot blame the Israelis for that. It is America who has fallen into the situation and just cannot manage the menace.
India is following the Americans in trying to eliminate terror. Indian naive little informed politicians just do not get it. Islamic or other terrorism cannot be wiped out like a conventional enemy with military strength. Just like diabetes or cancer hide in the inner corners of one’s body, terrorism is composed of sleeping cells in the country.
You may question, why terrorism did not strike US directly in the last eight years? That is because the terrorists know that the best way to create terror in America is not by blowing up some people, it is the process of their draining American monetary power systematically in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. Look what has happened. America is now fighting the nine eleven in the Wall Street collapse that has silently brought depression in American economy.
Terrorists just do not kill. They create the terror so that the Government diverts its attention to security draining the vital sectors of the economy creating economic downturns. That is exactly what Al-Queda did to Bush Administration. They did not strike America directly, the nine eleven panic was enough. Bush Administration diverted all its resources to fight the terror in and outside US. But terrorist never came out. They do not have to. The Bush Administration fell into their trap and ruined the American economy bottom up.
India is falling into the same trap. The terrorism is far easier in India than the US because of geopolitical, ethnic and demographic reasons. India is now falling into the same trap that Americans fell into. Diverting vital resources of the economy to fight terror inside and out of the country can devastate Indian economy just like it has collapsed the American economy.
