Nuclear deal is between America and the Congress Party not India as a nation – why did Buffet invest $5 billion in GE?
India as a nation opposes the nuclear deal with America. Manmmohan Singh bought the parliament votes with American dollars (Rs 25 crore a piece per Member of the Parliament). Common Indians did not forget the corruption and American interference in Indian national politics. The nuclear deal will provide American corporations $100 billion through sale of nuclear technologies and fuel to India. A lot of that money is already floating in Indian political realm as bribes. The American corporation controls the American politics. Whether it is Obama or McCain, both will first work for America corporations first, and then look at the needs of the common people of America.
Congress party is jubilant after the nuke deal went through. The party may not be in existence for anti-Indian activities, but for now they will be flushed with American money for what they delivered to the American corporation. Interesting Warren Buffet just invested $5 Billion in General Electric who will gain the most from this nuclear deal. The timing was perfect as the nuke deal was passing its final hurdle in the US Senate.
"The nuclear deal is a monumental achievement. It's a victory of Prime Minister (Manmohan) Singh's government," said Veerappa Moily, a spokesman for the governing Congress party.
India's government on Thursday hailed U.S. congressional approval of a civilian nuclear pact between the two nations, calling it a "monumental achievement," and an official said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would visit New Delhi soon to sign the accord.
