After Singur it is retail sector - Mamata Banerjee adamant to resist Indian oligarch Tata from enslaving the economic heartbeat of West Bengal
Neena Chatterjee
Aug. 30, 2008

She is stubborn. She is a true nationalistic Indian leader who cannot be bought with money. She lives in a small room and has sacrificed her life for the people of West Bengal and India. The self less leader of West Bengal is determined to stop Indian oligarch Tata from enslaving the economic heartbeat of West Bengal.

"If the Tatas are allowed to enter the retail sector, it will spell disaster for small traders which Trinamool Congress will resist through movements. The Marxists speak against imperialists but are, in effect, backing capitalists'' interests just like they are now doing in case of the Tatas," Mamata Banerjee warned from her dharna ''manch'' (protest platform) in Singur near the Durgapur Expressway.

Her victory against Indian’s largest oligarch has given her the confidence to protect the common people of West Bengal from Western and Indian oligarchs.

Millions of people in the West Bengal are planning to join her Dharna (Movement). The communists who have taken the sides of Indian oligarchs like Tata are spreading rumors that the Mamata Banerjees’ party Trinamul Congress is blocking the Durgapur Expressway.

The nationalist leader Banerjee lashed out at the hypocrite communists hungry for money from the Indian oligarchs. She said “We don''t want a blockade and are not fools to obstruct our own people from joining our dharna programme ... We have not obstructed anybody."
