Alaska Governor Sarah Palin can be the haunting nightmare for oil companies
Kiran Chaube
Aug. 30, 2008

The oil companies are scratching their heads. They somehow managed to form a strategy to tackle Obama and Biden. McCain is already agreeable but the capricious maverick has created a serious problem for the oil companies.

Oil companies understand what Palin can do to them if she becomes the President ever. Even as VP, she can influence McCain into creating deep trouble for the oil tycoons.

Palin, who has a background in energy policy, was elected governor in 2006 by challenging Alaska's Republican leadership and vowing to clean up a government corruption scandal. ``As governor, I''ve stood up to the old politics as usual, to the special interests, to the lobbyists, the big oil companies, and the good-old-boy network,'''' she said at a rally yesterday in Dayton, Ohio, where she was introduced by McCain. ``She's exactly who this country needs to help me fight the same old Washington politics,'''' McCain said.
