Indian Government struggling to keep peace in Jammu and Kashmir - 25 people was injured as mob attacks Indian paramilitary forces
Who can be blamed for the violence in Jammu and Kashmir as it spans out to the Independence Day?
Violence-ridden Kashmir flared up again on Independence Day Friday, hours after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asked his countrymen to seize the “moment of opportunity” to make India a great nation.
Tension gripped Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Friday afternoon as 25 people were injured, including some in firing, when a mob attacked a paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker in Habba Kadal neighborhood, despite a request by Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq to the people not to attack police and paramilitary forces.
Jammu was relatively peaceful as Hindus in the state observed nationalism and the Independence Day.
The Indian Government under Manmohan Singh must bear the responsibility for the violence in Jammu and Kashmir. First the UPA coalition failed to provide dignity for Hindus in Jammu. Second, they made alliance with pro-Pakistani elements like PDP who are the root cause of violence and terrorism. Third, they failed in making Pakistan understand that its ISI based terror schemes and instigations in Kashmir will not work. Indian foreign policy with Pakistan has failed with Pakistani bombing of Indian embassy in Kabul and continued inst6igartion of terrorists and hooligans in Kashmir.
