Advani points out "discrimination" against Jammu to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

The senior BJP leader L K Advani on Thursday alleged that the UPA government has indulged in "discriminating" against Jammu and "alienating the nationalist opinion".

BJP has stood fast in Jammu with Indian nationalists against pro-Pakistani hooligans in Kashmir. But the UPA Government under Manmohan Singh has systematically indulged in punishing the protesters and the interests of India and Jammu.

Advani demanded restoration of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, saying that the state government's decision to cancel the allotment of land is a "violation" of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court orders and amounts to contempt of court.

The court orders need to be complied with. The mandate of the legislation has to be obeyed," Advani said.
