The Congress party was promising heaven to every MP to bring them on board during the trust vote. Some MPs got some goodies but they soon found collective bargaining works much better like Amar Singh did for SP MPs. Soon the smaller parties became angry and decided to demand what SP MPs and their leadership is getting.

It is chaos for UPA right now. Every one is upset because some one else got some better.

Interestingly, BJP for the first time became jubilant on the prospect that Manmohan Singh will lose the trust vote.

BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told media reporters in New Delhi “UPA government is already in minority. It has been admitted in the intensive care unit. It is in its last breath. It's sure to lose its vote of confidence on the 22nd (July). BJP would like to state categorically that we are prepared to seek a mandate to run the nation."
