The native woman police officer that India insulted receives Annemarie-Maddison Prize for her exemplary contribution to jail reforms and human rights in the country

It is a wake up call for India. It is a shame for Indian politicians. Kiran Bedi, India’s pride who India insulted by denying Delhi Police Commissioner’s post because of dirty politics is finally recognized by the world.

The award carries a cash bag of 5,000 Euros. KIS Board of Trustees and Curatorship for Immunodeficiency, an international health organization awarded Bedi at a function in Germany's Munich.

Bedi at the award ceremony said she would dedicate the award money to her latest project, www.Saferindia.Com, which helps complainants get a response from the police.<
