India, Japan, Australia, US leaders meet Friday virtually to counter China’s regional influence

According to White House press secretary Jen Psaki, US President Biden has high priority on the importance on close collaboration with Quad allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific. The Quad leaders will meet virtually on Friday to counter China’s regional influence. The Quad is a strategic group seen as a counterweight against Chinese expansionism.

The discussions will center around climate change, economic cooperation and the coronavirus pandemic. Mr. Biden and his top advisers have working hard to lay the foundation of a strategy to work with foreign allies to confront Beijing.

The Quad partners plan to counter China on economic, military, and diplomatic fronts. Chinese military ambition in South China Sea, India’s border regions, Taiwan would be taken up for strategic policy decision process. China debt traps for nations around the world will also another topic iof discussion.

US President Biden is very determined to counter China in all fronts to challenge its expansionism.
