According to Recorded Future, a cybersecurity company based in Massachusetts, in October 2020 in the middle of Ladakh confrontation, Chinese state-sponsored 0rganized cyber militia groups in China targeted India’s power grid and could have been behind the electricity blackout in Mumbai.

Their intrusion detection stack observed a steep rise in targeted intrusion activity against Indian power generation and transmission infrastructure from Chinese state-sponsored groups. But soon India was able to counter the attack with intrusion detection controls, preventive controls, and recovery controls.

China realized it was not that easy to intrude into Indian Cyber Space without being detected and neutralized.
